trade union in the United States and Canada. It was established on May 5, 1888,
in Atlanta, Georgia in 1888 and its first Canadian Local Lodge, Local Lodge 103
was formed in 1890 in Stratford, Ontario as the "Order of United Machinists and
Mechanical Engineers".
