The basic unit of the Sea Scouts, a branch of the Boy Scouts of America, is the "ship." Since 1949, the flag of a Sea Scouts ship has been divided horizontally, red over blue, with the Sea Scout badge (the Boy Scouts of America fleur-de-lis and eagle surmounting an anchor) on a disk on the center. The name, sponsor, and location of the ship are inscribed in
white letters. Dimensions are 3:5.
