"America250.org, Inc." (“A250”) comprises the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission (also called Bisesquicentennial, the Sestercentennial or Quarter Millennium), established by Congress in 2016 via PUBLIC LAW 114–196—JULY 22, 2016 (https://www.govinfo.gov), and the White House Task Force on Celebrating America's 250th Birthday, namely “Task Force 250”, established via Executive Order (EO) 14189 of January 29, 2025 (https://www.federalregister.gov)

Source: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025, which is a nonprofit supporting organization to the Commission. It is a nonpartisan initiative working to engage in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the country. Festivities will mark various events leading up to the Declaration's anniversary on Independence Day, July 4, 2026.

The flag is a blue horizontal flag with the logo in the middle and it is an all-caps, black serif font that says “America,” above a “250”, depicted as a red, white, and blue striped ribbon. The design’s ribbons are intended to evoke a sense of commemoration, celebration, and purpose while the flowing red, white, and blue ribbons form the number 250 as a single continuous path, representing unity, cooperation, and harmony.

The logo was devised by Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv and was launched on December 4,
2023.
