The flag is a light gray field with the county seal in the center. A photo of the flag was published on facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1222659013209858&set=a.312840137525088
The flag was most likely adopted around the same time as the new seal in 2024.

The seal features ring of gold and blue, with the county and state name inscribed on them. In the center of the seal is the Summers County Courthouse in Hinton. Under the courthouse is the county's establishment year of 1871, one of five counties formed after West Virginia became a state.

Prior to the current seal, the old one featured the county's name and date, as well as the state name on the ring. In the center is the county outline with three lines representing the county's three main rivers; the Bluestone, the New, and the Greenbrier rivers. At the confluence of the Greenbrier and New rivers is a point for the city of Hinton, the county seat. In the northeast of the county is the county courthouse. On the New River is the Bluestone Dam, which is responsible for Bluestone Lake. Near the confluence of the Bluestone and New rivers is the sign for the Pipestem Resort State Park.
