The seal is designed similar to the Texas state seal, as most Texan municipal
seals are. Around the star are five different elements of the city's history.
The first is a lumber mill. The second is cattle herding. The third is the First
United Methodist Church of Humble. The fourth is the George Bush
intercontinental Airport. The fifth is a series of oil derricks, as the Humble
oilfield was once one of the largest in all of Texas at its height.
