Lakeside is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place located
in Ottawa County, Ohio.
The flag and the logo for the community was
changed sometime in June of 2013 as seen in Internet Archives of the community
website (https://lakesideohio.com/).
The new flag uses the same layout as the last flag, being a blue field with
a white logo.

Lakeside is among the first Chautauqua communities founded in the United States, in 1873. It has been a center for religion, education, cultural arts, recreation and relaxation for more than 135 years. Today, it thrives as one of
the few remaining Chautauqua communities. This flag is located on the tip of the Lakeside pier.
The "S" on the flag contains a cross, representing the community's Methodist roots, and waves, representing Lake Erie.
