The flag was adopted anywhere between 2008 and 2013. The former seal was
phased out quite quickly, so the flag was probably adopted in 2009 or late 2008
as my guess.

Divided in quarters diagonally, the upper and lower red, the hoist and fly blue, over all in the center the seal.
The former flag was likely adopted after 1964, as the “Nevada Centennial” county flag was the design chosen as the county flag that year.

The seal of Nye County was adopted on November 18, 2008, as a result of
County Commission Chairman Joni Eastley's proposal to remove the thunderbird on
the seal of Nye County. This was done because she believed the eagle looked like
the Nazi emblem, and this motion was passed unanimously at the board meeting on
that day.
