Municipal flags in Saunders County:

Saunders County in Nebraska, USA, got its flag in January 2006, after 68 designs were submitted on the flag contest. The winning design is that of Melanie Mongar, local resident. The flag is dark blue, and features a collage in the shape of a county map that incorporates the court house in dark blue tones, in front of a green hillside and an orange sky. In the sky can be seen the image of a bearded man. A light green corn stalk in the lower right identifies the county's agricultural industry. Across the bottom of the collage is a yellow ribbon stating the county name and the date 1867.
From the article we learn that nearby Seward County also has a flag designed by the same person.
