The flag was adopted in 1976 to celebrate the US Bicentennial. The flag is still in use to this day by city officials they said, where they also sent me a picture of it. The flag consists of a quarterly design of blue and red, with a white St. George's Cross, similar to the flag of the Dominican Republic. On the blue quarts is a white star. In the center is the city seal, which shows a scale.

"ORVILLE LANGDON, mayor pro tem of Iberia, looks over Iberia's new city flag made especially for the bicentennial. Iberia was the first city in Miller County to be named a bicentennial town. An official bicentennial flag was presented to city officials Friday night. The city flag was designed by Edda Catron, a high school art student, and was unveiled the same evening in public ceremonies."
