The seal depicts a couple of symbols Ishpeming is known for. These are
the statue seen at the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame & Museum, The
statue of Chief Ishtakhaba, and a mine shaft at the Cliffs Shaft Mine
Museum.

Much like the seal, the logo includes the prior symbols, but also a
couple more. These are the Ishpeming Municipal building, A main street
storefront, and the building for the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame &
Museum, with a depiction of a skier above it.
