Newcastle is a rather coastal town in Lincoln County Maine. The municipal flag is town logo on beige. The number 1753 on logo and flag is year of municipal incorporation. Special thanks to Ron Grenier for flag info.
Flag Inquiry Response: The Town of Newcastle does indeed have an official logo which is displayed on a flag, town stationary, web page, etc. The flag's background is beige. With respect to background my understanding the logo has to with the fact that Newcastle is 43 square miles, most of it rural with may streams, ponds, trails etc.
