Jeffersontown is a suburb of Louisville, Kentucky, in Jefferson County. With a population of nearly 27,000 in 2010, Jeffersontown remained an independent city following the creation of the Louisville Metro government in 2003. The city
was originally incorporated in 1797 as the city of Jefferson, but was known as Brunerstown by the locals after the name of the man who owned the original 40 acres that made up the city. The city eventually officially became Jeffersontown.

I was able to find some photographs of the police department's honor guard online and extrapolated the design of the flag from those (www.jeffersontownky.com/images/pages/N355/Honor%20Guard%20Picture_thumb.jpg). The flag of the Jeffersontown Police Department features the department's shoulder patch centered on a blue field.
