Back in 2002, the Iowa State Association of Counties website hosted an account of each county's history, signed by its County Recorder, and illustrated with a black and white flag image. It is not clear whether these flag images were provided by the county administration or not.

Archived copies of the pages about Ringgold County are still at web.archive.org/web/*/www.iowacounties.org/County+Info/History+Pages/ringgold.htm and web.archive.org/web/*/www.iowacounties.org/County+Info/Flags/Ringgold.htm. It is a ~3:5 plain white (?) flag with an emblem centered on it. The emblem is a very thick dark (black?) ring enclosing a stylized composite flower with 10 stubby petals in a mid-dark shade, edged in dark, its central seed pod white (?) with thick black (?) edging and an inner black (?) ring. Around the black ring, ten regular five-pointed stars in mid-dark shade, edged in dark, pointing outwards, evenly spaced and set in ring, one star at the top position.

This ring may be a pun on the county name, or not. It surely is not golden(?), and the county was named after someone's surname (19th cent. US Army officer Samuel Ringgold).
