According to the Calhoun Times and Gordon County News issue of February 23,
2002, that same month, Councilman Steven Bryson put to vote a town flag, similar
to the 1956 Georgia flag but with the seal of Resaca instead. This measure was
adopted unanimously by the council. Of course, the seal is based on the arch at
the Resaca Confederate Cemetery. I am not sure if the flag ever came into
existence, if it is still used today, or if it was used only for a short time.
