Description of the flag

The website at www.elsegundo.org shows a small image of the city seal. It is the standard circular format, with a wide black outer ring containing the words 'CITY OF' in white block letters at the top. At each flank there are two very small white five pointed stars, making four in all. At the bottom of the outer ring are the words 'EL SEGUNDO' written in a similar manner. The central image appears to consist of a light colored landscape, but the entire image is too small for me to identify the various elements clearly. The municipal flag consists of the seal on a blue rectangular field with gold edging and the city and state name in gold in two lines both above and beneath the seal.

Received from the City Executive Assistant, a photo of the El Segundo City Flag and also a large-scale illustration of the municipal seal. The municipal flag bears this same seal. The city seal was enacted into the city code by ordinance 410, adopted July 9, 1952.
