The website at ci.carson.ca.us shows a busy city seal. A golden circle fimbriated white and then edged with gold contains at its top in blue block letters the words 'CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA.' At the lower left and lower right respectively are two small white five-pointed stars. At the bottom of the outer circle is the city motto, written in smaller blue block letters, 'FUTURE UNLIMITED.' The central image appears to me at least like an 18th Century porcelain bowl, with light blue designs on an off-white background. I can just distinguish a galleon in the upper right and either a clipper ship or a 19th Century U.S. sailing warship (perhaps representing Commodore Sloat's or Commodore Stockton's squadrons); everything else is a blur.
