The former flag of the Ministry of Justice (photo, photo) was white with the ministry emblem in its centre.
The emblem is made of a red disc charged with black scales with white pans. The scales are superimposed with a grey sword pointing upwards with black hilt, placed over an open white book. On top of the disc are a white crescent and star as on the Turkish national flag. The disc has a white border inscribed with with "T.C.", standing for "Türkiye Cumhuriyet", "Republic of Turkey" (top) and the name of the ministry (bottom). The emblem is outlined by thin black, green and red rings.
