The flag of the Kastamonu City Council (photo, video) is white with the council's emblem. "Kent Konseyi" means "City Council".

The historical building shown on the emblem is the Governor's Office (photo). The building was inaugurated on 1 September 1901 during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of enthronement of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. The noted architect Vedat Tek, who also designed the old Parliament in Ankara, the Izmir clock tower and the Ministry of Post and Telegraph in Istanbul, was commissioned to replace the old, wooden building that had been inaugurated in 1833.

Kastamonu University (website) was established by Law No. 5,467, passed on 1 March 2006. The university is composed of 13 Faculties, 3 Schools, 13 Vocational Schools and 2 Institutes.

The flag of the university (photo, photo, photo, photo, photo, photo) is red with the university's emblem. On some flags (photo, photo), the emblem is bordered by a thin white fimbriation.

Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kastamonu Ticaret ve Sanayi OdasÄ± - KATSO; website) is one of the pioneering chambers of Turkey. In the official documents of the Province of Kastamonu, it is written that there has been a chamber of industry in Kastamonu since 1882. In the first years of the Republic, it carried out its activities under the name of Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Kastamonuspor 1966 (Kastamonu 1966 Spor Kulübü) was established in summer 2014 as the merger of the bankrupted Kastamonuspor with Tosya Belediyespor.

The flag of Kastamonuspor 1966 (photo) is white with the club's emblem in the middle. The colours of the club are a tribute to AC Milan.
