Tunisie en Avant was established in 2018 as a citizen's movement. It was
transformed in a party in 2019 by Abid Briki (b. 1957), Minister of Public
Administration and Governance in 2016-2017.
In the 2019 presidential
election, Briki obtained 5,799 votes (0.17%). As he had promised to do would its
result be below 3% of the vote, he resigned on 18 September 2019 from the
party's leadership and withdrew from public life.
