The People's United Democratic Moement (PUDM or Pudemo) was founded c. 1989. Since 1973 all political
parties, except for the Imbokodvo National Movement (INM),
have been prohibited. In the 1990s PUDEMO was the main opposition party.

stripes according to Smith's, Flags Through The Ages
and Across The World (1975), pp. 340-341 ("Symbols in politics") [smi75b].
The SPP is an outgrowth of the former Swazi
Progressive Association, founded in 1929.
