Latjoor is one of the states established by the presidential decree of 2 October 2015, later being revoked disestablishing it on 22 February 2020. The flag appears to have been the same as that of the Upper Nile state which it was a part of, with the exception of its ribbon and shield design. The state flag was the emblem over a blue field.

The state emblem was derived from the Upper Nile state symbol of two crossed spears behind a shield. This emblem depicted, over a blue circle the color of the Nile, a shield with its upper half appearing to be brown and its lower half blue representing water. What might be a shoebill is found over the water. Behind the shield are two spears crossed together: the one going to the upper-left having multiple points and the other one having one. Underneath all of this is a white ribbon outlined in black reading LATJOR STATE.
