by Antonio Martins, 28 May 2000, after an image on the Košice
website.
Valaliky is southeast of Košice (Slovakia) in Košice - Okolie okres.
Jarig Bakker, 19 Apr 2000
Though sent by Jarig still in 2000.04.19, <sk-valal.gif> seems to
have been forgotten. I GIFfed it and here it goes separately attached,
with the same filename. The original image shows the vertical hoisting
variant; I though about rotating it to horizontal, as it seems to make
no difference, but the central "tongue" being shorter made me hesitate
and suspect that there may be some differences after all... The basic design
itself (per quarterly gules and argent bordure counterchanged) is interesting,
it looks like a railroad sign -- is railway especially important in Valaliky
or it's just a coincidence?
