Sabinov is in east Slovakia, 50 km north of Kosice with 6.000 inhabitants.
The Sabinov region is remarkable for its fruitful orchards. Sabinov is
a former free royal town. The first record dates back to 1248 (Szeben).
In 1299 King Ondrej III granted town privileges to the medieval settlement.
The town is rich in cultural history.
