Nováky is in western Slovakia, c. 100 km NE of Bratislava. Mining and
chemical industry are important to the town.

The older version of Nováky flag should have red field, not orange one
(according to book Erby a vlajky miest v Slovenskej republike - P.Kartous,
J. Novák, L Vrtel, vydavateľstvo Obzor, Bratislava 1991 for Ministry
of Internal Affairs of Slovak Republic).
