Kukučínov municipality flag

Kukučínov (Hungarian: Nemesoroszi ) has 598 inhabitants (60,4% Slovakian, 38,5% Hungarian; 1990 census). Kukučínov is situated at the foot of Ipeľská pahorkatina (upland), where very good conditions for viniculture and development of tourist trade are. The village is first time mentioned in 1293 under the name Vruzy. The name passed through changes Urusi, Nemes Orosi, Oros nad Hronom, Oros. Today's name has been used since 1948.
On 20th of august I was in the Mayor's Office of the village.
