Melitopol, as a city in Ukraine, before the Russian invasion, used a white square cloth with green and yellow stripes extending from the center to the corners, divided diagonally. In the center is a small coat of arms of the city (image). It had been adopted on 29 august, 2003 along with the municipal emblem (image).
