They live in area west of the river Ob' (Western Siberia) mostly in the rural districts of Tyumen, Omsk, Novosibirsk and Tomsk Oblasts, but also in the cities of that region, Kazakhstan, Central Asia and Turkey. They number @ 190 000 in Russia and @ 20 000 in diaspora. Predominant religion - Sunni Muslims
They have a distinctive flag for several years now.
