located by Valentin Poposki, 8 March 2020Sibirskiy is ZATO, which means closed administrative-territorial entity, with
status of City District. ZATOs are usually entities with one or two settlements
and with strong military presence, due to the their nature, as they are military
installations. You should have a special permission to visit any ZATO, so that
is why "closed" (Zakrytoe) in their name. ZATO Sibirskiy adopted its
coat of arms and flag on 23.06.2010.
