light blue, with two crossed red and white flags on yellow poles.

An earlier flag can be seen at http://www.vexillographia.ru/russia/subjects/towns/images/sortavala.jpg. It is horizontally divided light blue over blue, 3:1, with a narrow green stripe near the bottom of the light blue field; in the upper hoist the coat of arms featuring a crowned blue shield with crossed flags on it.
This flag was used until 2019.
