The flag and arms of Lapovo are described on the municipal website as:

The escutcheon shows St. Paraskeve, patron saint of Lapovo. The St. Andrew's cross refers to Lapovo being one of the most important crossroads and railway junctures in Serbia. The wheat ears symbolises agriculture, the oak leaves forests, and the barry field the Morava river. The wounded boar is the apocryphal arms of Serbia, later assigned to region of Šumadija (Woodland), where Lapovo is situated. The blue tincture of the horse supporter alludes to River Morava again (the ancient word morav means "dark blue").
