Vargyas (in Romanian Vârgiş) is a community in Covasna county, Romania,
57 km north-west to Sfântu Gheorghe/Sepsiszentgyörgy. First mention is derived from 1322.
The village has got 1983 inhabitants (1925 Hungarian, 35 Romanian, 23 Gypsy by 1992 census).
The CoA is relates to the Unitarian church and the noble Dániel family.
