This logo is circular with a green over red horizontally divided rim reading the name of the entity in yellow serifed capitals, its two unequal parts ("Federação Portuguesa de Tiro" above, on red, "com Armas de Caça" below, on green) separated, on the green side, by quinas from the national flag. The main area is aptly filled with a shooting target made from three concentric white rings on black, with a white flying dove over all. Above the disc, a black/yellow mural crown with five visible towers, whose inclusion has likely nothing to do with civic heraldry, but rather shows that this logo was very likely created in the late 1920s and the graphical elements du jour were added without much thought — not unlike most of these emblems of Portuguese sports entities. At least formally Federação Portuguesa de Tiro and Federação Portuguesa de Tiro com Armas de Caça are fully independent from each other, the confusingly similar names notwithstanding: It is said that although "in many countries sporting shooting includes both bullet shooting and hunting shooting", "in Portugal there are two separate federations; bullet shooting being "represented" by "F.P.T."
