It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, issuant from base a rock sable, crowned by a swallow Proper, in chief an ancient mural crown Gules flanked by two onions Vert leaved of the same. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VILAR DE ANDORINHO".
Meaning:
The swallow (Port.: andorinha) is a canting element. The name "Andorinho" probably is derived from "Adonorigo" or "Andoninus", patron saint of the old parish church of Vilar de Febres, which had been the former name of the location according to a document from 1146. The mural crown is representing the former rank of a town (vilar). The mountain is representing Monte da Virgem (= virgin's mountain). The onions are referring to the "ceboleiros", farmers, which exported high quality onions to England until the beginning of the 20th century. The base wavy is representing local Febres River.
