Shield Vert, a stag Or crowned with an inescutcheon charged with five plates in quincunx. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILA NOVA DE CERVEIRA".
Meaning:
A beautiful flag for a charming town, I say. Canting arms, since "cerveira" means "place of stags" ("cervo" = "stag").
