Coat of arms

Shield Or, two fountains Azure, set in fess and pouring water Or(!in a golden field!), in central chief a sword flambant Gules balancing a pair of scales Gules. In base a barrulet wavy Argent, issuant from base a throughout bridge Argent masoned Sable, having four arches. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE CALDAS DE VIZELA S. MIGUEL S. JOÃO".
Meaning:
The fountains are canting elements, as "caldas" means "spa". The barrulet wavy probably refers to Vizela River. Sword and scales are representing former São Miguel, the bridge is representing former São João.

These arms probably never passed the Comissão de Heráldica da Associação dos Arqueólogos Portugueses(CHAAP) due to violations of heraldic rules, displaying a silver barrulet and golden water on a golden shield.
