The arms are Azure a local sailship, so called almadrava Argent rigged Argent masted Or and garnished Gules cruising ona base wavy Argent charged with a bar wavy Vert icharged with two tuna fish naiant Argent, dexter and sinister chief a couped chevron Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers
(village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "CABANAS DE TAVIRA".

Cabanas de Tavira Commune is one of the nine communes of Tavira Municipality (q.v.); it had 1070 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 6,31 km².
