It is a typical Portuguese communal flag with the coat of arms centred on a plain green field.

Shield Or a wall lizard Vert armed and langued Gules, in chief a Marian crown Azure gemmed Or, on base wavy Azure a barrulet wavy Argent.
Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading
in black upper case serifed letters "MOIMENTINHA".
Meaning:
The lizard on the arms is termed a "lagartixo", which is the unusual and non-lexicographic male of "",
the Portuguese common name for genus Podarcis, the wall lizards.
Species is not specified, but, given the location of this commune, it is likely Podarcis hispanica,
liminarly also
possible Podarcis bocagei or Podarcis carbonelli, see here.
It is suggested that the waves on the arms symbolise the local River Massueime and the crown for Our Lady of the Miracles
(feast on the after Easter Sunday), the Marian invocation that is the patron of the Catholic parish this commune was derived from in the mid 19th century.
No idea about the symbolism of the lizard, a fairly rare beast in Portuguese local heraldry.

Moimentinha is one of the 15 communes of Trancoso Municipality created by the merger during the 2013 changes. It had 173 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 6,53 km².
