The arms are Or a belfry Sable masoned and garnished Argent and open Or with bells Gules between two bunches of grapes Purpure leaved Vert and on a base wavy Azure a barrulet wavy Argent. Mural crown argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "PIAS - SERPA".
Meaning:
"Pias" means "(kitchen) sinks" (or even "toilets"), though that is not the actual etymology for this toponym. But thankfully no canting for this one!

Pias Commune is one of the five communes of the Serpa Municipality; it had 3036 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 163,68 km².
