It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain red field.

The arms are Or a square Sable and a lozenge Sable set in fess, in central chief a millstone Gules, in base a triplemount Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading "SAZES DO LORVÃO" in black upper case letters.
