Shield Argent; a fess Azure, charged with a wolf passant Argent, eyed, armed and tongued Gules; in chief two corn cobs Or leaved Vert ordered per fess, in base a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "LAPA DO LOBO".
Meaning:
The commune's name means "the wolf's den", the wolf is thus a canting element.

Lapa do Lobo Commune is one of the seven communes of Nelas Municipality; it had 756 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 10.6 km². Lapa do Lobo was established on 4 October 1985 by secession from Canas de Senhorim Commune.
