Shield Or, on a mound of three coupeaux Vert ensigned with a Latin cross Argent (!), flanked by two olive branches Vert fruited Sable in pale. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "PASSOS - MIRANDELA".
Meaning:
The word "passos" means "steps" - as in walking. Specifically, in this case, it's the steps of the Lord (Senhor dos Passos), i.e. the Stations of the Cross. The arms, depicting the Golgotha, are therefore (sort of) canting.
