São Vicente was established in 2012, when the former independent communes of Graça, Santa Engrácia and São Vicente da Fora merged.

Shield Azure, in central chief a throne Argent, in central base a pelican Or feeding her children, at both flanks an olive tree Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading "GRAÇA - LISBOA" in black upper case letters.
Meaning:
The pelican Is a representation of mercy, the throne is alluding to St. Gens.
