Shield Argent, in base divided by two barrulets wavy Azure, in centre a cogwheel Gules flanked by two rail profiles Sable in chief. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "MARVILA - LISBOA".
Meaning:
The rail profiles allude to a branch line of Portuguese Railways and especially to local Braço de Prata station and refers to the railway's importance for the industrial development. The cogwheel is symbolizing industry and settlement of the commune by workers. The barrulets are symbolizing Tejo River and its importance for the development of the commune.
Flag and arms were designed by Eduardo Lourenço Brito.

Marvila is one of the 24 communes of Lisboa Municipality. It had 37 793 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 7,12 km².
