Shield Azure, divided by a pall wavy Argent, in central chief a crown Proper, in base a pair of angel's wings Argent on either side. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters (village rank) "ANJOS - LISBOA".
Meaning:
The pall wavy probably is representing the riches of fountains, which supplied the fields of the surrounding communes with water in the past. According to Ralf Hartemink the pall wavy especially refers to the local creek (or brook) Reguieiro dos Anjos, which has disappeared meanwhile, but in the past supplied the surrounding farmers with water. The crown refers to a Royal Decree that founded the village in the 16th century. The angel's (Portuguese: anjos) wings are a canting element and alluding to the parish church dedicated to the Holy Angels.
