It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain dark green field field (village rank).

The arms are Argent a belfry Sable with four bells Gules. The belfry is flanked by two branches of olive Vert fruited Sable set in pale. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll in black upper case letters reading "ALDEIA DE SANTA MARGARIDA".
