Shield Azure a stentering frame Or filled by shreds of cloth of Gules and Vert, on chief two chestnut branches Argent in saltire with chestnuts proper. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VILA GARCIA - GUARDA".

Vila Garcia is one of the 35 communes of Guarda Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 304 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 15,33 km².
