Shield Or a boar passant Sable armed Gules, on chief a Marian crown Or on an open book Azure, on orle 11 chestnuts Gules with Argent top and capsule Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SANTANA DA AZINHA".

Santana da Azinha is one of the 35 communes of Guarda Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 528 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 15,94 km².
