Shield Gules abased parted by a bar wavy Argent charged with a barrulet wavy Azure, on centre a ruined quadrangular tower Or masoned Sable, on chief a scallop of the same. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and long white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE ALMOFALA E ESCARIGO".
Meaning:
The tower istaken from the arms of former Almofala Commune, the scallop of former Escarigo Commune.

is one of the five communes of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 180 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 47,34 km².

Almofala Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo Municipality; it had 181 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 30.0 km².

Shield Or, a bend sinister Sable, semy of stones Argent, in dexter chief a pair of scales Azure balanced by a sword flamant Azure, in sinister base a scallop Gules garnished Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "ESCARIGO - FIGUEIRA DE CASTELO RODRIGO".
Meaning:
Sword and scales are usually an attribute of St. Michael, the scallop usually is an attribute of St. James the Elder.
