It is a fairly typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white background (village rank).

The arms are Gules two pines Argent set in fess flanking a bundle of three arrows Or tied Argent placed in chief and a representation of a pre-historic stone arrowhead Or garnished Sable placed in base. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILE - CAMINHA"

Vile Commune is one of the 14 communes of the Caminha Municipality; it had 328 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 3,15 km².
