It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

hield Or with base wavy of Vert and Argent. A ship's stearing wheel Gules supported by two seals Azure eyed Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "FREGUESIA DE CÂMARA DE LOBOS".
Meaning:
The seals (Port.: lobos marinhos) are canting elements, the wheel probably is alluding to the local harbour. The green and white waves in base are representing the Atlantic.

Câmara de Lobos Commune is one of the five communes of the Câmara de Lobos municipality (q.v.); it had 16 842 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 7.6 km².
